Present Simple: Current Habits x Permanet Situations

I was studying present simple with the book "Destination B2" and I found two situations that we can use the present simple: in current habits and in permanent situations. However, I didn't understand the difference between them. Can someone explain me if there is any difference?

Examples given in the grammar book:

Current Habits: Toby walks to work.
Permanent Situations: Carlo works in a travel agent's.
