Idiot - to many people, means other people that don't have the same opinion they have.

To others it's the person that "dig his heels in" stubornly when something challenge their opinion, knowledge, beliefs, positions or views. The one that doesn't even think of being open to re-evaluate things in the future and change or adapt them if necessary.
