Se eu disser "Not even Freud explains" quem fala inglês vai entender o mesmo sentido??

As a kind of interjection, invoking Freud as an authority, it could work better as
Not even Freud could have explained that!
In other words, there's no claim that Freud ever even tried, but that the phenomenon is so inexplicable that even an authority such as Freud wouldn't have known what to make of it.
