"Amarte así" tells the story of the singer Margarita, and the young doctor, Ignacio. In the past, they have spent a night together, which Ignacio can't remeber, but it has changed the Margarita live forever because in this night she get pregnant. Now, Margarita works as a singer in a trio of mariachi music in a small restaurant. Hers love life is summarized to sing love songs.
Margarita believe that she was raped at the same night that she knew Ignacio, she can’t remember clearly once she was under effect of medication, but she remember the name and the face of the man who is suspect of committing this crime. However, Ignacio the man who she suspected to have done this, is actually innocent. It is true that he is a lying and a cheater, but he is not rapist. Her child, Frijolito who now is 6 years old defend Ignacio, because they have become friends and have a special bond, without know he is his father.
