Gente, tem como corrigir esse texto? Please!
Estou estudando para o TOEFL.
The movie Gone with the wind was very important in the period which was made, gaining an Academic Award. The writing section suggest racisms acts was in the movie and the Listening part is against this thinking.
First of all, for lecture, the movie was over statated and showed, clearly, the limited opportunity for women after civil war and the changes that happened after this period of the history. The charactor who interprateted Mammy, in the lecture, was dignit and interpratetd really well , giving the opportunity to be the first African who won an Award. The reading passage just highlighted the fact the character do not had a first name in the script.
Second, the lecture said that Butterfly McQueen, did more than just a "histerical performance" like wrotten in the text. She showed the unhappiness and the fact she do not like to be a slave. It is important remember which, the movie provided jobs opportunites to black characters and "opened" spaces for more movies like that.
So, although the lecture and the text disagree in some points, they agree in one thing: The movie industry got an big step with the movie Gone with the Wind.
