Exercício de Lend x Borrow

Hello everyone.

Achei este exercício muito interessante então resolvi compartilhar com vocês. É sobre dois verbos que causam bastante confusão para muita gente. São eles: Lend e Borrow.

To borrow (past tense: borrowed) - (borrow: To obtain or receive (something) on loan with the promise or understanding of returning it or its equivalent.)
Para emprestar (passado: emprestado) - (emprestar: para obter ou receber (algo) a título de empréstimo, com a promessa ou a compreensão de devolvê-lo ou seu equivalente). Pegar algo emprestado de alguém.
Example: Mark twain asked his neighbor if he might borrow a book.
(Mark Twain pediu ao seu vizinho se ele poderia pegar um livro emprestado.)

To lend (past tense: lend) - (lend: To give or allow the use of temporarily on the condition that the same or its equivalent will be returned.)
Para emprestar (passado: emprestar) - (Lend: Para dar ou permitir o uso de temporariamente sob a condição de que o mesmo ou equivalente será devolvida). Emprestar algo para alguém.
Example:
Later this neighbor asked Mark Twain to lend him a lawn-mower.
Ainda este vizinho perguntou Mark Twain que lhe emprestasse um cortador de grama.
