Exercício: Vestibular UFRGS questão de gramática
Hi y'all,
I was comparing my UFRGS' CV2011 answers to theirs (which can be found here), and I was doing pretty well (19 out of 19 right answers) until I checked question 70. It is as it follows:
Thank you,
Guilherme
(and no, I'm not 31 years old, that's just a nickname)
I was comparing my UFRGS' CV2011 answers to theirs (which can be found here), and I was doing pretty well (19 out of 19 right answers) until I checked question 70. It is as it follows:
They list (A) as being the correct one. But doesn't having a verbal phrase (carry out) alter the whole thing? Such phrase isn't found at the example, which leads me to believe it's not the right answer."Consider the segment The train engines belch smoke (l. 04).
Which alternative below presents the same sentence structure?
(A) I carried out my promise.
(B) The coach is at the end of the train.
(C) I kept my mouth shut.
(D) I tipped him a further two rupees.
(E) He was a rather strong man."
Thank you,
Guilherme
