Get x Pick Up: Qual a diferença

Hi everyone.

I would know if has a difference between them.

Example 1:
1. Please, get the phone for me.
2. Please, pick up the phone for me.

Example 2:
1. I'm going to get Monica on her job.
2. I'm going to pick up Monica on her job.

Bom pessoal, é isso, há alguma diferença em usar o "get" ou "pick up" nos casos acima? Se eu escrevi alguma coisa errada por favor me corrijam.
