a) I'm Willing to do that Exercise.

b) You need to be willing to do it.

Mas um ponto me chamou a atenção. Porque é usado o -ING juntamente com o Will ???

Ex.:

Estou querendo fazer aquele exercício = I'm willing to do that exercise.

1.How much are you willing to pay?(Quanto você está disposto a pagar?)
2.They´re willing to help.(Eles estão dispostos a ajudar.)

Another unrelated definition of will, is a document you prepare that lets your successors know how you plan to give your belongings and wealth once you pass away.

A will or testament is a legal declaration by which a person, the testator, names one or more persons to manage his or her estate and provides for the transfer of his or her property at death. For the devolution of property not disposed of by will, see inheritance and intestacy. ...

Muitíssimo bem colocado, Donay.

willing, neste contexto = adjetivo = "disposto"

Derived from the gerund form of will (willing) comes the adverb willingly, which acts just like or substitutes for "willing to."

Would you willingly help put Haiti back on its feet again? -- You might have rewritten this sentence with "... be willing to..."

Over the years Arnaldo has put up willingly with successive pluvial floods.
The constant pluvial floods with which Arnaldinho has (had to) put up willingly over the years nearly drove him crazy.

Willingly here equals to "in a willing manner." But it might have a lot more meanings, depending on how much you might/would put up willingly with. Some speakers, however, would rather place the adverb willingly before the verb. Like this:

"... how much you'd willingly put up with." (... would willingly put...)
"... to willingly put up with all the flies hovering over one's full dish one has to lay dormant on the table and pretend they won't infect the food." So says a Márcio. What do the other Márcios say? ;)

O que pode simplificar a análise:

1. To will - verbo significando deixar, transmitir algo, para sucessores, herdeiros:

I am willing my library to Ricardo, my son. (present continuous of TO WILL)
I already willed all my property. (simple past)
I will will everything to Ricardo. (future)
He wills us on.

I'm willing to travel anywhere. (eu me disponho...)
The mind is willing but the body is weak. (A mente quer, mas o corpo resiste.)

3. WILL como substantivo

I have the will to win. (Eu tenho a determinação para ganhar.)
This is my will and testament. (Este é o meu desejo e testamento.)
My last will. (meu ultimo testamento)
