Estou com dificuldade para traduzir uma expressão de um texto científico- "tidal breathing"- Traduzi como ciclo respiratório. Gostaria de uma opinião.
A frase é : WE also hypothesised that, during tidal breathing, PaO2 oscillations...

Respiração (periódica) cíclica.
In medical terms we may have a 'volume Corrente' de ar /volume de ar inspirado ou expirado num ciclo respiratório normal(aprox. 500 ml) - num homem, em média.
So, tidal breathing would be "movimento respiratório normal" (que abrange os ciclos - inspiração e expiração.
So, "tidal breathing" would be 'respiração comum' (corrente) - at a given time. But then usually it´s about volume, another parameter to ventilator operation would be respiration rate (plus said tidal breathing - tidal inspired and expired volumes, etc.

Penso que o termo possa ter similaridade em Português, a algo como: Respiração em repouso, calma, regular, eupneica...
