In American English, 'peladeiro' is 'pick-up soccer player' and in British English, we say 'kick-about player'. Jogar uma pelada, 'Take a pick-up soccer game', in American English and 'Have a kick-about' in British English
I like the "pick-up soccer", very interesting expression.
There is going to be some pick-up soccer on the miller fields starting the first day of classes. This is not mandatory in any way, it's just a good way to start playing before tryouts. Anyone is welcome to come, we will start around 5:30pm. It will either be on the upper or lower miller fields depending on where we can find space.
