Let's pretend we are talking with a bunch of friends and the conversation turn out in something not very interesting. So, just for fun, we could say in Portuguese "Vamos retomar o nível aqui!" meaning "vamos retomar o nível da conversa aqui".

My question is, how can I say "vamos retomar o nível" in that context (or any equivalent way to say the same thing in English)?
