Hey, i didn't understand what you want to say but:
Today is the birthday of the José Fernando da Baviera, Francis Bacon and Bill Gates
or
Today is the day that Joseph Ferdinand of Baviera, Francis Bacon and Bill Gates born

The another phrase isn't bad, i think its right but wait for more informations!

(´cause Gates ends in S )

Should it (the last one) a name ended in other letter:
Today is José Fernando da Baviera, Francis Bacon and Bill Clinton´s Birthday.

or...
José Fernando da Baviera, Francis Bacon and Bill Gates were born on this (very) day -(today) in history.
