This is the plot of a soap opera called "Patito Feo", From Argentina. This Soap Opera has made a lot os sucess in Argentina and the world. Even was broadcast in Portugal.

Carmen, a single mothe live In the city of San Carlos, with her doughter Patricia also know as Patito. Patido falls in love with Matias at the first time her saw him. Matias had been there for vacation and soom he went back to his hometown, Buenos Aires.

Some time later, Carmen and Patito went to live in Buenos Aires due to a surgery that Patito had to undergo. There Patito met the hospital director, Leandro, who by chance is her father, even though they didn’t know this, because fourteen years ago Carmen and Leandro had been in a relationship, but Leandro had to travel to Buenos Aires to find a job and the broke up and Carmen decided to hide the pregnancy from him fro all time.

Because of the love for music that Patito has, Leandro sugest that she go to "Pretty Land School of Arts", of which the mother of Leandro is director. In the shool Patito by chance meet Matias.

In the meanwhile, Patito and Carmen meet Blanca, Landro’s fiancée and the her children from a previous matrimony, Antonela and Facundo who go to the same school as Patito. For this reason came up a rivalry between Carmen and Blanca, and also between Patito and Antonella because she is dating Matias.

In the school two musical groups are created: One is“las divinas”, led by Antonela and the other one is “Las populares, led by patito. Both groups compet in the class of musical comedy fro representing the school in a interschool tournament.
