Correção de texto: Some words about tornadoes

Pessoal, estou voltando a estudar após algum tempo parado, tive a ideia de escrever um texto sobre novos conceitos e palavras que eu vou aprendendo por aqui e gostaria da opinião de vocês, sugestões e melhorias.

I was reading a notice few times ago in Atlanta Times that left me a little intrigued, it’s an old history about tornadoes but I thought interesting because I never imagined the big amount of tornadoes touch down in North American cities, something about 1,200 storms a year, just a little of those are really dangerous, however others can cause a great damage, reaching for example 200 mph, the number 5 in scale.
The big problem about storms and tornadoes is those can’t be provided in an acceptable time, necessary to evacuate a city for example, It’s the why we ever see a lot of people dying when they are hitted.
