Vocabulário de futebol em inglês

Olá a todos!

Seguinte pessoal, estou com uma matéria que tirei lá do site da ESPN americana e tenho algumas dúvidas quanto a algumas expressões. Algumas eu tentei deduzir, mas outras eu realmente não sei. Aqui estão, me ajudem apenas com o negrito:

>>...Ronaldo set up Jorge Henrique for the first goal in the 23rd minute... (seria "Ronaldo serviu Jorge Henrique...?")
>>...he checked his slow run-up and made a weak penalty shot... (talvez, "Ele deu uma paradinha e deu um chute fraco"?)
>>...Cruzeiro pulled a goal back five minutes from time... ("O Cruzeiro ficou um gol atrás a cinco minutos do fim")
>>Atletico were held 0-0 at fourth-placed Vitoria... (não entendi were held)
>> Gremio beat bitter city rivals Internacional 2-1 in the Porto Alegre derby which marked a century as one of the major "classicos" of Brazil. (dúvidas em bitter e marked a century)
>> Palmeiras beat Santo Andre 1-0 for their fourth sucessive win... (esse FOR não tá fora do lugar hein??)
>> Ronaldo, who was feted by the club before kickoff, scored the winner in the 77th minute for his 17th goal in 25 matches. (o feted poderia ser aclamado? E mais uma vez, não entendi a função desse FOR)
