Vejam o exemplo abaixo:
R.Ceni é um bom batedor de pênalti, mas todo mundo sabe que o Marcos também é um grande pegador de pênalti, então temos 2 fenômenos frente a frente.
Será que a tradução literal funciona aqui? Penalty taker e Penalty catcher?

Para batedor de pênalti, está correcto, mas para pegador, sugeria "penalty saver"
1- Batedor de pênalti = Penalty kick taker/ penalty-taker
2- Pegador de pênalti = Penalty savers
Ex.:
International goalkeeper Dida already played in Vitória, Corinthians, Grêmio and for Brazil's national team; in all of them he was known as one of the best penalty savers of all time. Watch some of his highlights and saves.
