Como dizer "Criar raízes (ficar esperando)" em inglês

Gente, boa tarde.

Como seria a frase "Eu já estou criando raízes aqui esperando você chegar."

Ou seja, "criando raízes" no sentido de "estar preso aqui esperando você".

I don´t remember a slangy way right now, but you can express that with ""I've been waiting here for hours." (it would show your impatience and that you have been waiting and waiting - up to now.)

Another way to express your impatience would be:

Where on earth have you been? I've been waiting for ages!

Some other ways to say this:

I'm aging here while waiting for you.

I'm growing old here waiting for you (so much that my hair is getting whiter every second).

I'm getting old waiting for you.

You are taking so long that the tide has come back in again.

I've been waiting for you for so long that it feels like watching paint dry.

One more:

I have been waiting for you for what feels like forever...!

...After many hours having passed and you have paced all over the place, or have made trips to the other end of the street and back. And finally your significant other comes out of that mall. With a michievous smile in her face, after having bought a travel-size fragrance bottle of perfum.
And having spent all the afternoon to decide on that one....
