Sua sugestão está correta, mas talvez não dê a idéia de "olhos grudados". Segue mais uma sugestão:

"She didn't take her eyes out of her children (not even for a single second)"

Hi Anita,

Your expression is fine. And English provides a similar expression: "Her eyes were glued on her children," or "She kept her eyes glued on her children."

Oh, really, Herny? Wow, I thought "glued" was out of question... Thanks!

Flavia, you keep your eyes "on," and don't take your eyes "off." Those damn prepositions...
Best.
(P.S. To take your eyes "out" makes you horrifically blind...)

Anita your own suggestion is good enough... sometimes people say: watching over...She was watching over her children... both carefully and over are very commun here in US.
Where I work sometimes: At Lincoln School in Northborough, por example,I hear all the time something like: Nancy is watching over the kids...We hear that speacially when kids are playing at the school and teachers need to pay close attention to them (kids)...

PS ABOUT HENRY SUGGESTION:

he said: "Her eyes were glued on her children" so you might want to change the sentece a bit to:

Her eyes were glued TO her children...In this case the preposition is TO instead of on.

also about henry sentence: you use this sentence in case for example: your son is playing futebol or any other sports...in cases like that and some other cases you can use glued to, but not to talk about taking care of children ...

My husband gave me that information. He is american.

bad thing that he is not here right now to take a look at my text. I dont right too well in English, but I hope you can understand what I mean.

I forgot the w. ..write too well in Englih
Já ouvi o uso da palavra "onto" no sentido de "estar em cima, vigiar"
I couldn't go out yesterday, my mother was onto me.

Até mais... espero ter ajudado! :)
