You can use : How soon - (Dentro de quanto tempo.....?)
Example: How soon are they coming back? (Dentro de quanto tempo eles estão voltando?)
In a week. ( Dentro de uma semana)

E se eu quiser perguntar "Dentro de quanto tempo você vai se aposentar?", para um jovem de 16 anos entrando no primeiro emprego?
Posso usar "How soon", mesmo sabendo que não tem nada de "soon" nesse tempão todo que ainda vai demorar?

Eu responderia 'Not soon at all.'
Therefore, I suggest:
how long will it take you to...
ou até mesmo,
How long till...

Yes, the structure "How long will it take..." is much more reasonable in my example.
I just wanted to point out that "dentro de quanto tempo" sometimes cannot be translated as "how soon".
