Meus caros!
Me veio uma dúvida hoje: existe alguma expressão na língua inglesa correspondente a “fazer por mal”?
Ex.: Desculpa! Não fiz por mal.
Claro, eu também poderia dizer que não foi minha intenção (I didn’t mean it), mas, ao meu ver, “não fiz por mal” carrega um sentido um pouco diferente (não quis/intencionei fazer mal).

I'm sorry I didn't intend to. (to something the person has complained about in the sentence immediately stated by her/him.)
I'm sorry I didn't intend to irritate you. (in a specific way).
I'm sorry I didn't mean offense.
I'm sorry (for my mistake).
In slang way could be (in certain contexts): my bad !
Sorry, it wasn't on purpose. (said that friend of yours after having hit your finger with a hammer, while trying to help you).
And other ways.
