Como dizer "haveria" em inglês
I have a question regarding the word haver.
When watcing a film I heard "He said there might be a response. There might."
The subtitle said, "Ele disse que haveria resposta. E vai haver."
Google translate said the Portuguese meant, "He said he would answer. And "there will be."
The word 'haver' came up again later in the film again.
Por que havemos de querer dominá-los? Tem havido uns rumores na cidade.
Google translate translated it as:
Why you want to dominate them? There have been some rumors in town.
So I am really confused about haver. Was it a good translation for 'might' in the first sentence?
