Como dizer "Marido da presidenta" em inglês

Este assunto, bastante curioso, me ocorreu ontem ao assistir uma entrevista com a mãe da presidente eleita, Dilma Roussef. Se a esposa do presidente é a 'primeira dama', como chamaríamos o 'marido de uma presidenta'? Bom, fui atrás da resposta em português, e encontrei: "O marido de uma presidenta, governadora ou prefeita é simplesmente seu marido. Não recebe nenhuma denominação especial.Alguns veículos de comunicação resolveram adotar o termo “primeiro-cavalheiro”, mas ele não está grafado no Vocabulário Ortográfico da Língua Portuguesa, da Academia Brasileira de Letras. Também não existe “primeiro-consorte” ou “primeiro-marido”. Talvez o termo “primeiro-cavalheiro” até apareça em uma futura edição, já que o número de mulheres no poder tem aumentado bastante e o uso da expressão vai ganhando popularidade."

Em inglês, o assunto parece ser abordado de forma parecida, vejam um trecho com respostas do Jornal 'The Guardian':

If a male president's wife is the first lady, what would a female president's husband be known as? First man? First gentleman, First what?

•First Gentleman, whether he is or not. An ex-president is always called "President So-and-so", so if Hilary Clinton is elected President, there will be two President Clintons in the White House. They will be referred to as President Bill Clinton and President Hilary Clinton according to custom, so it is not likely that Bill will be called the "First Gentleman" at all.

•First gentleman is a bit of a mouthful - so that one's out. First man - well, I'm not sure about this one either. It brings to mind a cave dweller. Not very conducive to the role of President's husband. How about the President's husband. Yes, that's the one - I can see it now: "... And here we have the president's husband attired in a smart blue pinstripe suit as he accompanies Madam President to the state banquet". So, there you have it.

A minha sugestão é a de que a melhor opção seria, por enquanto, dizermos: 'The president's husband' / O marido da presidenta.
