mas qual ficaria mais "native"? Use a perfume or wear a perfume?

We might find other uses for things we otherwise wear.

At times, rather than wear a helmet we might "use" it as a hammer to drive a faulty doorknob in place, for example. As unlikely as it happens, we might cut off and "use" a seatbelt to bind a bundle of sticks, twigs, or branches together, for example.

Yes, as I told you, this seems very unlikely, but it happens. Remember the old carnaval song "Eu mato, eu mato, quem usou minha cueca pra fazer pano de prato" (I'll kill, I'll kill whoever used my undies to dry dishes with)? -- You could not possibly think of "wearing" one to do it.

Para "contact lens" e "glasses", tire o "a", já que tais termos são usados no plural.

In any case, whatever you wear, wear it with a smile!

In the case of some of those Brazilian swimsuits, I heard it said that "she was wearing little more than a smile..."
