Correção: you know, my life has changed

Hello, there. I wrote this passage in an app that I use to study English and I received the following correction in bold.

You know, my life has changed a lot since I have started at university. I have been wrapping up with academic projects over these months, which make my daily schedule tight. On the other hand, my social life has been same old, same old. Not always I have time to chat up and get together with friends.

1°) Is there any problem by saying "over these months" instead of "over the last months"?

2°) What is the difference between "Not always" and "I don't always"?
