I didn't understand what is this "on" in the phrase "The girl is on his left"
or
"The dog is on her right"
or
"The dog is on his right"
What is the difference between "The girl is on his left" and "The girl is his left"
Please, someone help me

Olá Spyman,
"On" é a preposição mais adequada para acompanhar 'left'(esquerda,lado esquerdo) e 'right'(lado direito,direita).
The girl is on his left.(A garota está à esquerda dele.)
The dog is on his right.(O cachorro está à direita dele.)
A frase 'The girl is his left' precisa da preposição "on" ou de algum tipo de contexto,complemento.Não faz sentido uma tradução.
