Como utilizar a palavra "news". O substantivo "news" é considerado um substantivo singular. Deve-se usar "much" e não "many". Confiram alguns contextos:
I didn't get much news. [Eu não obtive muita(s) notícia(s).]
There isn't much news of the event. [Não há muita(s) notícia(s) do evento.]
Em contextos afirmativos, é mais comum usarmos "a lot of" no lugar de "much".
The reporter has a lot of news. [O repórter tem muita(s) notícia(s).]
There is a lot of news on TV. [Há muita(s) notícia(s) na TV.]
Nunca diga "a news"; o artigo "a" não pode ser usado antes de "news". Nesse caso, use "a piece of news".
