Of Hers e Of Him: Como utilizar?

Well, I was looking some sites and I just read a sentence that says: "I will invite her to the party, but do not tell friends of hers." the translation would be: "Vou convida-la para a festa, mas não conte para amigos dela", but does not it would be just like that "I will invite her to the party, but do not tell her friends". And, if it is right, does it applies to third male person just like that "I will invite him to the party, but do not tell friends of him (or) hims" ?

A sentença "I will invite her to the party, but do not tell friends of hers" e "I will invite her to the party, but do not tell her friends" são ambas corretas.

Mas "I will invite him to the party, but do not tell friends of him (or) hims" está incorreta. "Him" é um pronome pessoal. O correto é usar o pronome possessivo "his", nesse caso "his friends".

His friends - friends of his
Her friends - friends of hers
Our friends - friends of ours
Your friends - friends of yours
Their friends - friends of theirs

I will invite him to the party, but do no tell his friends (mais comum).
ou
I will invite him to the party, but do not tel friends of his.
Telma, thank you very much for answering, but, does it applies to "friends of (mine)" and "friends of (its)" too ?

Sim, "my friend - friend of mine". "Its friend", mas não vejo lógica em "friend of its". Procurando em livros e na internet, achei uma explicação:
Generally, what follows the of in a double possessive will be definite and human.

Faz sentido.
