Take it back x Bring it back: Qual a diferença no contexto?

Analisei a aplicação desses trechos nas frases, mas não percebi a diferença entre um e outro:

I'm going to take it back to the store. (lamp that doesn't work)
I won't forget to bring it back (a borrowed book)

Se eu pegar estes trechos em negrito e trocasse eles de lugar nas frases, faria o mesmo sentido também? :
