Na verdade, nem tudo tem tradução. O que o Henry fez foi uma comparação, visto que arroz e feijão faz parte da nossa cultura da mesma forma que a torta de maçã é praticamente um símbolo americano.

quer dizer uma vida normal, ideal, organizada, previsível, suburbana. Não é que todo brasileiro gosta do futbol, e nem todo americano gosta do baseball ou apple pie, mas essas coisas simbolizam os países do mesmo jeito.
