my suggestion:

The meaning of this expression is to be on your way home; coming home as in :

Ex: Where are you at?
I'm home bound.

It could also mean a person who is confined to home due to an illness

I get it, but "bound" doesn't mean a probability to happen something?
Estou a caminho de casa

Yes, the word ''bound'' could also be in the sense sth is extremely likely to happen. But when you combine it with the word home the meaning is totally different from the words individually.

The character of your picture, which I think it's from the anime Assassination Classroom really cracks me up  .
So...only with the word "home" that changes the meaning of "bound"?

(Thanks! I really like Koro-sensei :) )
