I hear native speakers of English write like that a lot. Apart from that, I have seen "get's" instead of "gets," "keep's" instead of "keeps" written all over the Internet. Even American TESL-certificated teachers of English sometimes forget there (oops, their) lines and write "definately." Now and then they will produce an "it's" when they mean "its" and vice versa.
Writing "grammer" when one means "grammar" constitutes yet another misspell that often goes unedited. I wish other forum users and collaborators wrote down here all the misspells other than the ones appointed by The Oatmeal. Well, someone over on urbandictionary.com just wrote the word "rumers" isntead of "rumors." And this Californian guy I met back in the 70's showed a letter to me in which we'd clearly see the word "Jermin" for "German."
