Pessoal, na dúvida é melhor perguntar.
Entre commander, comendador, commendator, commendatore, knight commander, etc. Qual devo usar?
Como no exemplo abaixo:
- Escuta o que eu vou dizer, Comendador Medeiros: eu vou te destruir!

It could be also "commander", but it would be necessary that the commendation had to do with military matters. As in the time of the knights etc.
One could be chosen, have a commendation e.g. of the church to be a religious leader and take care of religious matters of the community.
