Como dizer "E ele se aproxima" em inglês?
pensei em ''And he gets close'' mas fica muito informal e,além do mais não seria a ''tradução direta''. Queria uma outra maneira de passar essa frase para o inglês. Alguem me ajuda?

Se você estiver se referindo à aproximação para falar com alguém, é preferível que se use o verbo "come up to someone."

And he comes up.

I don´t see anything wrong with "and he gets close", albeit "and he is getting close'' (the "ING" meaning that you say it at the time when the action of "getting close/near" is happening).



If you want to detail it more, you may say "he is getting close to us", "to the venue", or "arriving" or other ways.

Look! Julia Roberts just come in. (Julia Roberts acaba de chegar)

Actress Juliana Jolie arrives at the 86th Academy Awards in Hollywood, California March 2, 2014. (notice that "is not right now". It´s said about a picture that is posted afterwards.)

Actor Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith just arrived to the place (has just joined the star-studded event). (also said at the moment of action.)
