Como dizer "Realizar uma promoção" em inglês

To run a promotion

The promotion was a breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations Act 2008, which bars retailers from running a promotion for longer than the period over which product was sold for the full price.

Both words do not translate quite well in the same context in English as
realizar and promoção is used in different ways when we express the action.

Promotion is used more when we need a raise in our salary. But Yes, in Marketing there is also the use of the word “Promotion”.

Realize is more used when we understand something.

Sure we could use the words “accomplish” or “perform” in place of “Realizar” in a more restricted and formal way.

But since this all have to do with Advertising and Marketing I would express as such;
We need to do that advertising Tomorrow.
We need to develop an advertising campaign for that product Tomorrow.
You also can say;
We need to do that promotion Tomorrow.
We need to develop a promotion campaign for that product Tomorrow.

I'm not quite following your reply, Word Moder.

1. Simon never used "realize" (in English) in the context you're suggesting.
2. "Run a promotion" is typical English. It's in the text from the Guardian. It means "manejar" or "conduzir".
In English we "run" all kinds of things: a show, a business, a household, a country, a car, etc.

Post complementar:
* Realizar (promoção) = fazer (promoção)
