Capstone project - Tradução em português
Capstone (n): finishing touch: a final touch; a crowning achievement; a culmination
"The Capstone Project represents the culmination of four years of intellectual growth towards an independent and self-directed learner who can contribute meaningfully to his or her community...how he thinks and what he believes ...students attempt to answer the questions: “How do we learn?” “What can we create?” and “What does it mean to lead” through a self-selected and designed independent project. As with everything we do, it should embody the core values of inquiry, research, collaboration, presentation, and reflection."
Do you have capstone projects in schools in Brazil? We were not required to do a capstone project at my school.

In Brazil , especially in social professions, students are required to develop social projects to benefit the community as a prior requirement to obtain their license or certificate.
