Know better - Tradução em português
Hi there!!
I was reading a children's book in which a man, who has a vegetable garden, has his vegetables stolen by funny bunnies, but the man, who has never eaten any of his vegetables, doesn't know what's happening to the vegetables. Then the author says something like this: The man doesn't know where his cabbages, lettuces and carrots have gone. But we KNOW BETTER!! Don't we?"
I'd like to know what does "KNOW BETTER" mean in Portuguese!!! (I wish I could have the translation into portuguese) 'BUT WE KNOW BETTER'
Thanks a lot!!!!

"Know better" equivale a "ter conhecimento, experiência ou treinamento'' para não fazer algo errado.
No contexto apresentado, sugiro traduzir como ''mas nós temos esta noção.''
Do 'Thefreedictionary':
Know better (than to do something)
1. to be wise enough to behave in a more responsible or acceptable way It was a stupid thing to do, and I thought she knew better. You know better than to interrupt when someone else is talking.
Usage notes: sometimes used in the form not know any better: Doesn't she know any better than to wear jeans to a place like this?
2. to be wise enough to know that you should not believe someone or something The guy who was trying to sell us the car said it was in great condition, but I knew better.

Acho que o autor disse: Mas nós bem sabemos!! Não sabemos? No sentido de ter total conhecimento do que estava acontecendo.
