Trace time - Tradução em português

Hey, guys.

I'm in doubt with a rock classic song. I was listen Bowie, the music "Changes", and there are two lines that say:

"Time may change me
But you can't trace time"

When I searched, the dictionary said the mean was like: "Traçar, achar (find) ou vestígio". In my opinion, it doesn't fit well in the context, you know? The translation at letras terra is: "enganar"; it fits well, but I'm still a little confuse.
