You should read Frank Rich because, first of all, there are few practising current affairs writers who can match his beautiful, direct, smooth prose style -- and -- and -- offer judicious opinions and intelligent summaries of what has been happening in the American political, social, and ideological landscape. But even if you disagree with his point of view, you will learn a lot of written English in the process.
