Hi Grace,

chocolate truffle is a simple Brazilian chocolate fudge candy created in the 1920's, and named after Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes.
Brigadeiro é um simples doce de chocolate com doce de leite criado na década de 20 em homenagem ao Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes.

see you.

Well GraceMoon,
at the first, in US and UK "brigadeiro" is a foreign cuisine, because it was descovered over the 20's and 50's dacades here in Brazil. Someone points to the emergence of sweet due to a great Brazilian brigadeir.

However, in English we used to refering to this sweet as: truffle not brigadeir
Brigadeir is the official rank of military service.

Arroz doce = Race Pudding

Now, "arroz de leite" is something different, me who is brazilian too think that's a strange expression.
Reguards and enjoy!

Mas, pessoal, vamos acertar o "spelling":

Brigadier
Rice pudding

Cheers!

Hi! After searching a bit...

Brigadeiro: Brigadeiro (if you need, you can explain what it is)
Arroz-doce: Rice pudding

both "bolinho chocolate trufado" = Truffled Chocolate Cookie

bolinho brigadeiro = Truffled Chocolate Cookie

bolinho chocolate meio-amargo = Bittersweet Chocolate Cookie

Friendly reminder "Bolinho" can mean either "Cookie" or "Muffin", it depends on what kind of product it is .3. But I'll suppose it's cookies xDD
Hope it helped you .3.
