Qual é o equivalente, ou algo similar, no inglês, do verbo militar que temos no português?
Aquela gíria usada pra falar de pessoas que estão sempre discutindo na internet, ou fora dela, por motivos bestas (mas que mesmo assim são "politicamente corretos"), aquele tipo de pessoa que leva tudo a sério e tal...

We can also express that by "he is a supporter of the cause..." (of the blood donation, etc). He is militant/activist of the cause of...
Also "(be)...is a participant of the X movement. Etc.
In that sense of "levando tudo a sério", examples:
He/she is overly devoted to the cause and takes all things too seriously (when it comes to the subect of...)
He/she is radical in their point of view. (and so on and on).
He/she takes everything so seriously.
He/she takes 'politically correctness" beyond common sense/overly radical etc. (politically correctness - just for illustration's sake, could be any movement, cause or ideology).
