Sugiro também "kid" (verbo) para dizer "zoar" em inglês.

"Messin" significa bagunçar. Seria "bagunçando com o lewbert" na tradução literal. Mas, para termos uma melhor compreensão traduziram como "zoando com o Lewbert". Hello Miguel, yes, it can be synonymous with "teasing", albeit I like "teasing/mocking" better.
Somehow "banter/bantering" sounds a bit more formal to me.
Bantering in a sentence:
Mike was quick-witted, and enjoyed bantering his friends and granddaughter, Tisha.

In a more positive light, we could also use the "jest friendly" (but being careful not to morph into a "friendly fire" jest.
"Jest friendly" would be more of a "zoar do bem" (de uma maneira leve, amigável, aceitável.
