Diferença entre ''Abandon'' e ''Ditch''
Qual a diferença entre eles?
Eu vi que os dois significam "Abandonar"
Mas como eu uso eles nas situações certas?
TIA

For what I know:
Ditch is a very colloquial and much less serious way of saying abandon.
It would be normal to say:
He abandoned his family
But if you said:
He ditched his family – it makes it sound a lot less serious than it really is.
People often say things like:
I'm going to ditch this boy, and go out with my friends
This is a much better way to use ditch

You can also use ditch to refer to getting rid of something that isn't related to leaving a person behind.
- Dude, you need to ditch this hairstyle of yours. It doesn't suit you.
-It's time for me to ditch my current car and get myself a new one
You can't use 'abandon' in such context.
