I'll told you if it was (construction)

Ouvi o trecho abaixo em um podcast:

- Did you just burp?
- No. I swallowed weird. I swear to god. I'll tell you if it was.

Gostaria de saber porque a pessoa falou "I will". Porque foi usado o futuro aqui e não algo como I would have told you.

Eu perguntei para um nativo e ele me disse que:

You can say would if it's implying uncertainty. Here, it's certain that he will tell them

Porém não consigo entender ainda. Obviamente entendo o sentido da frase, mas no speaking, nós brasileiros provavelmente não pensaríamos nesse tipo de construção.
