Philadelphia Public Schools were on “lockdown” for less than five minutes Thursday morning after a loud bang was heard.
Superintendent Lisa Hull said a fuse went out on a power line at the corner of Wilson Street and Byrd Avenue causing the noise.
“For safety sake we went on lockdown,” she said. “We had practiced this before and everything went as planned.”
